I am quite sure that if the royal family had put the pea under a Tempur-Pedic mattress then the Princess from the "Princess and the Pea" would have never felt it, never married the Prince and would be still be wandering around bed hopping.

The King in my fairy tale had surgery several years ago followed by complications and long term therapy. We had a fairly new King size Sealy mattress that we both really liked just fine but several helpful folks in the medical field suggested considering a Tempur-Pedic mattress. We were looking to upgrade from our Queen sized mattress to a King due to our 2 dogs and often cat sleeping with us. Additionally our old mattress was either just old or too firm, but I noticed that I was always tossing and turning b/c my hips hurt. We went to Sleepy's about 3 times to test out mattresses and although my husband likes a very firm mattress, I wanted something softer and we both seemed to like the memory foam type mattresses. I hated going into Sleepy's as everything is really expensive and I felt that sales people were like used car salesmen. Finally we decided on Bed in the Box, we got the Bed-in-a-Box PacDown Plus 11" mattress -- although they recommend the 11" inch only if your weight for 2 people was over 400, we are not, but figured with the dogs at 50 lbs each that would put us there. We ordered it on Dec 22nd and received it Dec 30th - a week later. Although the box seemed to go through a lot, the mattress is wrapped in plastic and then put in a heavy weight......

I would highly, highly recommend this mattress. It is very, very comfortable. It doesnt stain. It is soft and cushy to the touch. The sheets dont bunch up on it. I feel like ever since I started sleeping on this mattress I have literally seen all of my aches and pains disappear almost overnight, literally. I couldnt sleep before I bought this mattress. I had so much pain I was on three different kinds of medications. Try it yourself. i guarantee you will love it as much as I do. Even my kids love it...i cant keep them off of the mattress.......

When I started looking for a better mattress, I picked the Serta Pillow Top firm matress. It was great for the first few years, and then I started having aches and pains, at first I blamed it on pillows. I bought expensive new pillows and that was still not the answer. My Sister who also has this same mattress noticed the same thing including headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain ect....All the things I've experienced. Then I heard more and more of my friends complaining about the same things. You lose sleep, ache and finally realize, it's the mattress. Like I said it was great the first few years, after that it has become the one matress I would not tell anyone to buy. A matress should last alot longer then a few years. I will be more careful when I get another matress now, as I am tired all the time, cannot continue to lose sleep and have pain I have never experienced until this. My Doctor agrees, there is nothing else wrong, so it is the mattress.

This is a dangerous mattress to own! (Jamison, the Marriott Mattress) You won't ever want to get up in the morning to go to work!

My husband and I were both totally shocked at the great night sleep we both have gotten for many consecutive nights. We both usually wake up multiple times throughout the night. From the first night we had this bed, we fell asleep and then woke up at daylight. We thought it was a coincidence until it happened the second night, then third night, and so on. We've been married for sixteen years and have never slept the whole night through for multiple nights. This is the bed we've always dreamed of!!

We have had our Select Comfort bed for one year and we really do like it. My husband had a lot of lower back pain and I would, frequently, have lower back pain also. We were in need of a new mattress and our son and daughter-in-law had just bought a Select Comfort Bed and loved it. We had thought it was too expensive to be worth paying that much for it - but after sleeping on it for this full year, we are more than happy that we purchased the Select Comfort Bed. Also - we had thought, since we liked our mattresses very firm, we'd set our number on 100. My husband thought it would be better his back. He set his on 100 and found that his back would sometimes be still painful. I set my side on 70 and found that my back problems were almost totally gone. My husband has since changed his "Sleep Number" to 80 and his back is doing much better. We could not be happier with our purchase of this bed!...

Our Sealy posturpedic set has a box spring that is very noisy. In August 2008, when we had the set 8 months we filed a complaint with Sealy (the store we bought it from had gone out of business). The response we got was a generic letter explaining about body impressions in the mattress. I responded in Sept 2008 with a letter again complaining about our noisy box spring, not the mattress. I have also called and left messages for someone to return my calls. As of yet-Dec 29, 2008 I have had no response from Sealy. Their customer service sucks and the box springs are not made of quality materials if they don't even last a year. The set is supposed to be under warranty but obviously Sealy does not respect the warranty or stand behind their claims of 'customer satisfaction'. ...

My husband and I have been saving for a new bed for quite some time. We decided on an Air Bed but we were floored by how much they get for the Air Beds that are in the malls. That's when we went on the internet and found Air Beds Unlimited. The customer service/sales people were very helpful and we never felt pressured. They have always communicated with us and we were aware it would take 7-12 Business days for delivery. Our Air Bed was delivered in a week. We found it very easy to assemble even though my husband has 2 left thumbs. We did have a question about initially setting the firmness and Air Beds Unlimitede walked us right through the process. Finally, we also could not have afforded this nice of Air Bed had we not found Air Beds Unlimited. We would like to give them a big thanks and now my back is feeling much better

Bought this Sealy Posturepedic Mattress, king size top end model, at NE Furniture Mart on sale for around $1400 and we absolutely hate it. After about 60 days of use, whatever support there was broke down and now it's like sleeping on a $10 foam mattress. When I first lay down it feel nice and comfortable but after 30 minutes there's a "waller" that's difficult to get out of. It's hard to roll over and my shoulders hurt because of the taco shape hole I'm in. Have owned it for 4 months and am considering how to get rid of it and get something else but as we spent so much money for it our options are limited and the warranty is worthless. I have other mattresses in the house from 5-20 years old and everything sleeps better than this pos. I'm 6'2" and 220#. It's 4am and I'm po'd....

We recently purchased a Select Comfort Special Edition Bed. It was a painful experience, almost like buying a car. The store was understaffed so our sales rep kept leaving us to deal with other customers. What should have been a quick, happy experience turned into a long drawn out, painful night. It took over 2 hours to get to the package we wanted. With every decision there was another twist and another option he could add. I should have just walked out then but we stuck it oput and ordered the bed.

It was just 2 days later when it started all over again. It seems they had forgotten to include the foundation in the package. Can you imagine a $2.000 bed package that just so happened to not include the foundation??? and as you might imagine there was nothing the sales rep could do aboput it. The store manager wouldn't even talk to me. The area manager offered a $20 pillow as an "apeasement" and custiomer service refused to return the bed. So here I sit with $2,000 worth of useless bedding...

After doing much research online, I thought this would be the best mattress for my back problems. I tested the bed in the store and then later brought my husband in for the test. We decided to buy the top of the line 9000 kingsize bed paying over $5000 for the set. When it was delivered and set up all seemed OK until the first night. When I woke up the next morning, the bed did not have much air in it. I read about testing for leaks and did what it said. Sure enough, I had a leak. I contacted the company and the lady I talked with said she would ship me new air chambers overnight (this was Friday morning). I did not received the air chambers by Monday afternoon so I contacted Select Comfort and found they had not been ordered. The lady I talked with then agreed to have then shipped that day overnight and send a confirmation email with the shipping number. I did received the new air chambers Tuesday and my 30 day trial was extended an additional 30 day period. until Dec. 30, 08. So,......

I bought my Sealy Posturepedic mattress in October as a Christmas gift to myself. My husband and I tend to have chronic backaches, which we contributed to our very old mattress. The Sears saleswoman recommended a firm mattress as I am a stomach sleeper. About a week after our mattress was delivered, we began waking up with absolutely no soreness or back pain. I am very glad that I purchased my Sealy Posturepedic mattress. One bit of advice about the mattress for other consumers: This mattress seems to retain quite a bit of body heat which may make some people uncomfortable. Personally my husband and I like this about the mattress as we are very cold natured people....

Since buying the sleep number bed I was always waking up feeling like I never went to bed. I would go to bed sore and tired and wake up throughout the night with sore hips. I guess my bodies way of saying time to turn over. I found that where ever the pressure points of my bed and body were meeting is where my aches and pains were. I slept on the sleep number beds when we were on holidays and I found them very confortable and I felt that I was refreshed when I woke up in the morining. After a great deal of thinking about buying one I finally went and made the purchase and I just love it. I look forward to going to bed and I can finally say that I sleep really well....

In April of 2008, I traveled to the Baltimore area for my son's wedding. I stayed at a Hilton Hotel. I am not easily impressed, but that bed gave me the best night's sleep I've had in a very long time. I've tried hard beds, soft beds, pillow tops and latex, but nothing came close to the comfort of that bed. I woke up the first day without a back ache and checked each morning with the same results. I plan to purchase a Serta Hilton Serenity matress when I remodel my bedroom this year. The website was added to my favorites, It is a wonderful bed!!!!!...

I bought a Sealy Memory Foam last April because an on-line store had a great deal, great price, free shipping, & a good reputation for customer service if there are any problems. Well, I unrolled it * let it take shape for a few hours & put it on the bed. That night felt slightly different, but by the end of the week, Ed & I realized we were sleeping more soundly, less aches, & did not want to get out of bed in the morning! This is the first topper I have bought, & I would strongly recommend! My 13 year old son wants one too because he hears us raving to our friends! Debbie...

This bed is THE WORST! I looked at Stearns and Foster as my research suggested it was a quality brand. We bought a King size pillow top - it was not their top of the line model but I believe it was next to top of the line S&F. We went to a local bedding store where they asked us some questions and recommended several different beds. The Stearns and Foster felt great when we laid on it at the store. HOWEVER, within just a couple of months the bed is a nightmare. It sags and is terribly uneven. My husband and I cannot lay next to each other - we try to climb out of our respective "holes" to snuggle but after a few minutes give up and roll back into our indentations.

It is absurd for the money we paid for this mattress to have this type of issue just a few months after purchase. Now a couple of years in we have really had it with the bed and are going to THROW IT AWAY and find something comfortable. We tried to live with it but enough is enough.

My husband and I bought a sleep number bed a couple of years ago to deal with back pain and now we dread being without out it. Even a few nights spent at a hotel or the homes of friends and family leave us with aches and pains that we thought we had forgotten. We have a king size, and it is absolute heaven. He keeps his side at 95 to provide the right support for his 300 pounds, and I keep mine at a 40. I was even able to adjust it to find the right level of comfort during my pregnancy. We will never go back to anything else....

serta ultimate 4-inch memory foam mattress topper is a dream come true. prior to buying this item, sleeping on my old mattress was horrible. i bought this item from overstock and the shipping was free. it was win - win all around. the only problem (and they do state airing the topper out) was the smell from the foam. it will take two to three days of the topper laying flat to air out. once on one's bed it is great. the only problem now in the morning, i don't want to get out of the bed. also, it does not come with a cover so that is an extra cost, but also worth it. it will protect the foam and it can be washed. if one's back or hips are sore, this will help. it will raise the height so be prepared to buy new sheets that have deep pockets....

We have had the Select Comfort Sleep Number bed since 2002. We have never slept better. My sleep is no longer disturbed when my husband twists and turns at night. He is no longer bothered when I come to bed late or get up frequently at night. I have had a lot of back problems and even had surgery but only since we got this bed I have I been able to finally sleep very comfortably.. It's Heaven!

We have recommended this bed to four other couples and they are all very happy with their beds also.

I own three mattresses from IKEA. All are Hasselbecks. Two are great. One is a total failure. I think the problem is IKEA's quality control. Is it worth the risk that you'll buy a dud? I think not.

Mine is less than a year old and it's sagging horribly - even though we've flipped it every 3 months. I only weigh 120 pounds. I am awaiting hip replacement surgery and spend a lot of time resting my hip. Still, that shouldn't wear out a mattress in a matter of a few months. IKEA won't give you a refund after a month. So out the door it goes. I wouldn't bothre to sell it because no one would buy it. The two sags are that obvious. Ugh!

But!

My 16 year old son sleeps on the second one and it's great. The third is in our rental beach house. All kinds of people sleep on it and so do we. It's been there 3 years and is terrific.

I think the bottom line is, from now on I'm sticking with a mattress from a mattress company. I was penny wise and pound foolish. I'm off to the mattress shop tomorrow. My hip......
