bob-larissa says "Great bread and super easy to use, what more can you ask for?!" about Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Machine

We received this Cuisinart Bread Machine for Christmas this year after our old Black & Decker one died around Thanksgiving. This machine is fantastic! We've already used it a bunch. It has so many more functions than our old one did, like the ability to delay the start time so that the bread will be ready when we get home from work and not just sit in the bread machine after it's done all day long (anyone who has used one before knows that this make the bread soggy because of all the steam). Also there are specialty settings for glucose-free and low-carb bread, and it comes with a pretty extensive recipe book. Another great feature that our old machine lacked is this one allows you to remove the paddle before it cooks (if you're around, of course). The only "bad" thing is that it's kind of big to keep on your counter all the time, unless you have a huge kitchen....

I really really like this bread machine. I received it as a wedding gift from my grandma.

Lately I have been making the bread on the dough cycle, taking it out, putting it in a pan, letting it have a last rise, then baking it in the oven. The loaves are beautiful out of the machine as well, but they are awful square. I do like this one more than one that my mother owned, this one makes horizonal loaves, hers made vertical.

I really really like the expressbake feauture. The only con about this is I buy my yeast in bulk, and the quick-rise machine yeast is significantly more expensive than the $4 block I purchased. (purchased at a health food store, in kind of a coffee like packaging)

Pizza dough rocks out of this thing!!!

...

Who doesn't love hot fresh baked bread? My husband loves hot bread and was the one that insisted on adding a breadmaker to the household. I have the Sunbeam Expressbake Breadmaker Model No. 5833 and have been using is for several years. In fact, when we take the 5th Wheel Travel Trailer out for camping, my husband packs along the Sunbeam Expressbake Breadmaker Model No. 5833. He is that attached to it!

All About the Sunbeam Expressbake Breadmaker Model No. 5833

The Sunbeam Expressbake Breadmaker Model No. 5833 bakes a 1.5 lb. loaf of bread but is capable of baking a 2 lb. loaf as well. It comes with a Teflon coated pan that lifts out of the breadmaker for easy cleaning. The top of the machine has an extra large viewing window that allows you to take a peak at your bread while it is kneading or baking at any time.

The Sunbeam Expressbake Breadmaker Model No. 5833 comes with an easy to read instruction manual that explains all the settings, the delay feature, the timer, and a troubleshooting......

My Magic Chef one and a half pound breadmaker works just as great today as it did when it was new. It has NEVER failed me.

I still have the owner's manual / recipe book and the directions are simple and easy to follow. BUT. I also I use other bread maker recipes and regular bread recipes as well. You can add fresh oats, sesame, sunflower or poppy seeds to almost any recipe and it tastes wonderful and adds fiber to your diet. I always at least add one of those and use whole wheat flour for part of the bread flour. You get to eat really healthy bread with NO preservatives, nothing in it that you can't pronounce.

I love the fact that I can put my ingredients in, select the cycle and delay the start (up to 13 hours) and wake up to the smell of fresh-baked bread. Yum, warm bread with breakfast and enough for sandwiches too. The loaves make very big sandwiches for my hard working hubby and his co-workers are all jealous of his lunches.

The loaves are square and I use a miter box for bread...
...

ToddK says "Great fresh bread" about Zojirushi Bread Machine - Home Bakery Supreme BBCC-X20

I purchased the Zojirushi Bread Machine (BBCC-X20) with the full expectation that it would be used once and then sit on my counter utilizing precious counter space. As you can imagine, my wife and I had differing opinions on the necessity of this product. I didn't win the "debate" and quickly found myself staring at a machine I had no love towards.

Long story short, I have changed my tune once we created our first loaf of bread. While the process of making the bread was foreign to me (never made my own bread) I was impressed with the basic instructions provided with the machine. Once I got the hang of creating basic breads, I then found myself looking for more exotic recipies online. I've made some really great bread and some that the dogs wouldn't touch (my fault) but at the end of the day, I have to say I'm really glad we have the Zojirushi Bread Machine.

One last thought, we do a lot of entertaining at our house and there is nothing better than baking a fresh loaf right in time......

I have had the Oster Bread maker for 9 years. It is still going strong! We use it at least once a week for pizza dough (throw in the ingredients and an hour and a half later you have pizza dough ready to roll!) and once or twice a week for bread. We've made jam, we've baked bread, we've baked whole wheat bread. You can set the timer to have bread ready when you wake up in the morning or when you come home. I have not used the express bread settings but every feature I've tried I love! Definitely a plus for any busy family, and ours is no exception! I am all ready to buy another when this one wears out. I've seen other breadmakers quit after 1-2 years, not this one! It does make a bit of noise, but the pros far outweigh this small downside....

We recently got this West Bend Bread Maker (an upgrade from their previous model, which had a 40 page manual and was WAY too much trouble to use), & and I must say that I really like it- it makes great bread EASY! we were actually thinking about "regifting" it when we got it as we thought we'd Never really use it, but we do! The instructions are really simple and easy, and it is truly Simple to use and clean- both Big plusses. You can add herbs and things and get creative, it kneads and bakes and dings to let you know it's done, and it makes it possible to have "real", warm, homemade bead on a daily basis, as opposed to the ucky stuff WalMart sells!
...

There's nothing like the taste and aroma of freshly baked bread, especially during the winter months and throughout the holiday season. I remember my Grandmom making bread and doing everything from scratch. It was basically an all day job, mixing, kneading and letting the dough rise. Then it still had to bake. I get the same results, now, with much less work, thanks to my Magic Chef Automatic1.5 lb. Bread-maker. I've had it for several years and use it alot. I even use it sometimes in the summer.

The Magic Chef Automatic 1.5 lb. Bread-maker is great for us busy people who like to have fresh bread along with our regular week-night meals. We not only don't have time to make bread from scratch, we are multi-taskers who would rather cook and shop or cook and clean at the same time. We want to be able to live our busy lives while still serving fresh, home-made meals to our families. This machine helps make it possible.

With eight cycles and a timer, you can make any...
...

My Magic Chef breadmaker was a Christmas gift from my oldest son almost 10 years ago. It works just as well today as it did right out of the box.

It came with an owner's/recipe book, measuring cup, and spoon. Some recipes are good; others I have modified. The directions are simple and easy to follow.

I love that you can put your ingredients in, select the cycle, even delay the start (up to 13 hours), and come home to the smell of fresh-baked bread. The loaves are sqare and somewhat tall, and make very big sandwiches. If you prefer the traditional bread shape, use the dough cycle. It does all the kneading, and first 2 raises. You can just dump the dough into your greased breadpan, let it raise again, and pop it in the oven.

...

In an effort to save money in these tough times, I decided to pull the Breadmaster Breadmaster out of the attic. I have learned to make pizza dough, which we use more than anything. My kids absolutly love when I make pizza. My 6 year old son says my pizza is beeter than dominos. The best part to me is that I used to spend a minimum of $25 when I would order out. Now, I figure that making the dough with the Breadmaster, buying plain tomato sauce and adding spices and seasoning and cheese the pizza is costing about $6 for 2 large pizzas. then I also buy pepperoni when its on sale or add ham or whatever I have. I also can make breads for cents a loaf - but truth be told, I lost my manual and have been doing a lot of "test"breads - I am beginning ot get the hang of it....

I received the Zojirushi Bread Machine for Christmas from my mom in 2006. I had used a west bend bread maker for about 7 years previously, but the little belt finally wore out on the bottom, so into the trash it went. I am a serious bread maker, so after doing online research the Zo seemed the way to go. I mostly use it for making dough, be it bread or pizza crust. At first I made the entire loaf in the machine, but even though it boasts that it makes a normal looking and shaped loaf, to me the crust was still too tough, even using the low setting. I like to make all the bread we use, and having crusts too thick my family just didn't want to use it for everyday sandwiches and the like. I decided to try making the bread dough just using the dough setting, and then taking the dough out and putting it in a regular pan and finishing in the oven. That's the way I've been doing it for over a year now. In fact, it's been a year since I've actually cooked a loaf in it. I really...
...

I wanted a bread machine because my family loves bread but I wouldn't buy it for health reasons. I discovered that I could get organic grains of any type but don't have much time to make bread in the traditional way. I found that Bed Bath & Beyond could order the machine for me, as they didn't have it stocked in the store. It does everything but wash the dishes and I hope it lasts a long time, because I plan to use it much.
...

I have had other breadmakers and I never had one that made such awful noise! It sounded like a loud, grinding, mechanical distress call. I could hear it all over the house. The instruction booklet said it might make a "knocking" noise if the dough ball was too dry. When I added water, the noise went away until the water mixed in and then the noise started again. I had to keep adding water to get it to shut up. I'm guessing the motor needs to be stronger. I tried three recipes--one of my tried and true recipes, a dough recipe, and one of their recipes. All were noisy. I don't consider it a convenience to have to constantly add water. The three recipes I made came out well and the controls were fairly easy to use, but I couldn't stand the noise, so I took it back to the store for a refund. Perhaps mine was a dud, because other people have given it good reviews. ...

This machine makes the best darn bread! I love smelling it when its baking and the taste of all the different breads is soooo good. I have been making bread for about 5 years now and will never go buy a loaf from the store or bakery again. This is my 3rd machine and I will buy and buy again when they go out. I make about a loaf every other day, but I also make it for friends, teachers, church, you name it, you will always have a back up gift if needed....

Zojirushi bread machine is great, I highly recommend it to any one who loves to bake, but dos'nt have the time to knead or use a traditional oven. This bread machine is very easy to use add all the ingredient's and start it up! Just make sure you add enough water and your dough is nice and moist....

if only I lived with my grandma she would cook me dinner, bake bread, mop the kitchen floor, etc. But she is so old now she can't do those things, but I long for the smell and taste of fresh bread. Aha, the bread machine. An easy solution to our busy lives and lack of skill to knead bread, rise, knead, I have no idea what to do....
