I love the Bebe Sounds Angel Care Sensor Baby Monitor - I recommend it to every new mother! As a new mother I had so many fears. This monitor sounds an alarm if it doesn't detect movement for 20 seconds. It is extremely sensitive, so even if your baby is laying perfectly still, it still detects his/her breathing. The only con is that occasionally the monitor will sound when the baby is just fine - when that happened to me it was always because my baby had worked himself into one of the corners of his crib. If your crib does not have a flat surface under the mattress, it is no problem - just have a piece of plywood or masonite cut at your local home improvement store (this will be extremely inexpensive) - the dimensions you will need are given in the monitor's instructions. I do agree that this monitor is a bit pricey, BUT the peace of mind it gives is priceless. I think it is well worth the money....

I don't know why this monitor has received such mediocre reviews on this site. I have been using mine for 10 months now and haven't had any problems with it yet.

The Fisher Price Sounds and Lights Monitor comes with two receivers and one base for the baby's room. I put one receiver in my bedroom and the other in the living room for when I was watching tv and might not hear the one in my bedroom. The "lights" aspect of this monitor are great. When your baby is making noise, you will see a cascade of lights light up. The more noise your baby is making, the more lights that light up. It is very helpful if you have the volume turned down because you can still see the amount noise your baby is making by the amount of lights being lit up. The base which is in the baby's room has a pseudo night light glowing on top. It barely lights up, so I wouldn't really call it a night light.

When I received this monitor almost a year ago, it ran for about $35.99 which is a great price for...
...

Like the other reviewer said; I can hear my baby breathe. That's how great this monitor is. I was very nervous about putting my baby to sleep in his crib for the first time. We had him in a bassinet in our room for 6 weeks. I plugged the monitor in his room and listened for about 5 minutes very closely and I could hear everything in the room. If he moved his foot or even spit up I heard it. It's actually so good that you do hear sounds outside the room like the tv in the livingroom. It's very sensitive. I have never gotten interference with this monitor like you can with others. Never had static....

Fisher Price Private Connection Monitor with Dual Receivers was a gift we received before our daughter was born. WIth it having two receivers, we are able to leave one in the bedroom and have the other in the family room, so we can hear our daughter where ever we are in the house. I like that the receivers have sound and light functions. I can turn the sound down and still see the red light if my daughter is crying or fussing. It has great reception and very little feedback. I like that the red light only comes on when the baby makes a noise and not from her music in the room, so I know for sure she is the one making the noise. I like the different channels offered on the monitor to help keep out interference from neighboring houses....

I received one of these baby moniters as a gift for my baby shower. I loved them at first. They do pick up the smallest sound and help a lot; however, recently one of my moniters just stopped working. It might turn on for a couple of seconds once in a blue moon, but now I'm only limited to the one other moniter (it comes with two hand held moniters). And it's not like I even had it very long, only one and a half months. It also says it goes for 600 ft., but if the battery isn't FULLY charged, like brand new, it won't go that far....

I had given birth to twin girls in Feb 2005, not even a year later one of my girls had a febrile seizure. This sent my world into a frenzy. I had not known anything about febrile seizures and at the time could not find much information on them.

My husband went out the same night and purchased the Bebe Sounds Angel Care Movement Sensor Baby Monitor for me. It was an attempt to help me sleep as I thought I never would again. While it did not calm my fears instantly it certainly helped.

I only have two complaints - one is that my daughter would climb into the corner of the crib and the sensor could no longer detect her so the alarm would go off. We had a few nights where our hearts jumped out of our chest before correcting the problem. We placed a board across the bottom of her crib and placed the monitor on top of that under the mattress. The board was the exact size of the mattress. This fixed the issue.

My second complaint is that the clarity of the monitor is heavily interferred by other...
...

I had gotten two monitors for my shower, tried the first one (can't remember the name) and I didn't like it very much, a lot of static and interference and what not. So I tried the Sounds and Lights Monitor which I had also gotten, and loved it. It's so clear. I can plug it in which is a bonus. And I can watch TV or do the dishes while my daughter is napping. It's very sensitive to any sound so I can even hear the buses and some cars through the monitor as they drive by my daughter's window on the second floor!...

The Fisher Price Sounds and Lights Monitor is a great value for the price paid. We first purchased a $200 visual monitor. It picked up every signal in the apartment we were living in. The Fisher Price monitor has static when adjusting the sound. It goes away as soon as you select a setting. Sometimes a radio signal is picked up and music plays faintly in the background. Given the small price of about $30, this monitor exceeds others in the same range. It will pick up your child's breathing, for the super protective moms! :)
...

Giving this baby monitor to an expectant Mother & Father, is like giving them a little piece of mind. We received the Safety 1st Baby Monitor as a gift when my son was born, and I still have it today. And yes! It still works. In fact, I still use it even though my youngest son is seven.

With the Safety 1st Baby Monitor, you can hear EVERYTHING that is happening in the room your child is in. You put one monitor in the room with the baby and then you keep the other one with you. I always plugged in the one with the baby and used batteries for the one with me. This way I could carry it with me if I went on the front porch, or outside for a breath of fresh air. And it was like I was still in the room with my baby. If the baby sighed, I could hear it!

This particular monitor was very reliable. I never went out of range with it, and always had great reception. When the baby cried, I heard it. If the baby was sick, I heard that too. If I was trying to sleep, I'd just...
...

I thought these monitors would be great, they seemed like a happy medium between the really cheap ones and the really expensive ones. First of all, whenever my cell phone rings, or I talk on the phone, it makes to monitor go CRAZY!! If they are by anything metal, it also goes crazy! The sound quality when it actually works right is ok I guess, but I would buy a better monitor for your little one!...

What a great product! My baby is a tummy sleeper (if I want sleep he has to be on his tummy)& it gives me the piece of mind I need to sleep at night (& for him to sleep as well) since he is on his belly I worry constantly but I tested it out & this lil thing will def let me know if he stops breathing! My only gripe is more my error when he wakes at night & I go in & get him sometimes I forget to turn the alarm off so by the time I get to his door its screaching at me!...

I received this monitor at one of my baby showers. I thought it was going to be a better monitor. It has worked for us, but I will warn you that it gives off a lot of static, which can get to be kind of annoying. Your cell phone will cause a lot of interference, basically there is just a lot of interference. However, I'm sure most of the monitors are going to be have the static problem. So overall it's probably just average, nothing great....

Prior to the birth of our first son we searched for a baby monitor that would suit the needs of our household. The Fisher Price Private Connection Monitor had most of the features we were looking for, including dual monitors to keep in different rooms of the house or to keep with each parent. The cost was around $60.

The Private Connection Monitor has 10 channels which was also a must for our family because we were concerned that other baby monitors in the area would pick up reception from our monitor. With the 10 channel option you lesson the possibility of someone using the same channel with their own monitor.

The reception was also clear and distinct. We could hear our son breathing while using the monitor which helped put our mind at ease when he was a newborn.

The most convenient feature, I found, was the belt clip that allows to keep the monitor with you at all times and still remain hands free. This is essential for days I would be moving from room to room and needed my hands for...
...

He is a very active sleeper and wakes himself up if I lay him on his back or his side. I was researching different monitors when I came across the Angel Care. Instantly I had to buy it!
