I bought this for my dad because he's a truck driver. He always gets bad directions from companies so I wanted him to have something that was hopefully a bit more reliable. His birthday just passed and I asked him if he still liked the Magellan GPS Navigator or if he'd rather have a new one and his exact words were "touch that thing and die, girlie!" I'm getting myself one, too....if it's good enough for a truck driver that drives all over the United States, it's good enough for me.

I bought this on overstock and got it for $300 shipped. I used to hate driving in places which were not familiar.This product has changed everything. It exceeded my expectations by far. It gives a lot of useful useful information (other than directions) like ETA, points of interest, and AAA information with your coordinates if you break down. The directions are detailed and separate window pops up if there is a especially tricky maneuver. It also comes with a suction cup that easily affixes to the windshield. To people who I have driven with have since purchased their own.

I recently purchased a Magellan - Maestro 4000 GPS Navigation System for a road trip I was taking to Canada. Overall I was extremely impressed with this product. It was very easy to use. Basically just plug it into your lighter adapter in your car and go. Did not even use the direction manual in the box. I typed in my address to where I was going and off I went. The voice activated cues when I was approaching a turn or new highway was great. Got us all the way there with zero problems. I love this Garmin, It sometimes is hard to get a good product even though you do the reseach and read all the reviews. I have done alot of research on garmins and other gps units and this was by far the best choice. I actually had another gps device and it would work somedays and somedays it wouldnt. I guess it depended on its mood. I have never had a problem with this one. Infact I am always learning something else about it and the more I have learned the better it gets. I purchased the Magellan Maestro 4000 GPS Navigation System last year while deployed to an unfamiliar city...just to assist me in easily getting around the city.  I love it!  It is easy to use - even the most technically-challenged person would have no problem with it.  Most of the times, (at least 99% of the time) there are no problems with the directions.  However, on occasion (1% of the time), when there are new streets, you may find yourself at the wrong place!  But, those times, for me, have been very few and far between!

This is the best invention ever.  I get lost easily just pulling out of my driveway.  But every since i got my navigation system i can find my way anywhere with easy turn-by turn directions!!!  It's a God Send!!! i plan to buy one for my mother and all of my friends this holiday season.  I recently took a random road trip to Monterey California and i had no idea where i was going.  I easily entered my destination and immediately i was directed turn by turn to my destination avoiding construction and detours!!!

We loved this GPS so much, we bought one for each of our cars.  I use it all the time.  I enjoy going to yard sales and this really helps going from one sale to the next. I can put the different addresses in the GPS and can find my way around in a lot less time. 

 My husband travels for work and he is able to use the GPS instead of always stopping to look in the Map or having to print out directions before his trips.

We love that you can use our GPS as a speaker phone through the bluetooth.

MAGELLAN 4000 -GPS SYSTEM -

                             I BOUGHT 2 FOR MY KIDS ON SALE AND AFTER WE TRIED THEM OUT  , I HAD TO BUY ONE FOR MYSELF A WELL. THI PRODUCT IS GREAT IF YOU TEND TO GO ALOT OF DIFFERENT PLACES, BUT , REALLY GREAT FOR THE KIDS WHEN THEY ARE OUT ON THERE OWN OR AWAY AT COLLEGE.

I have absolutely no sense of direction, yet I am a little frugile. So for me this navigation system was the answer. Not only was it relatively inexpensive it has guided me on some very difficult trips. With this navigation system only I and 4 children set off from New Jersey to Virginia and did not have any difficulty at all. I would recommend this system in a heart beat.

I was looking for a GPS for a long time and with the numerous choices on the market it was hard to pick the right one.  I found the Magellan Maestro 4000 i=on sale for $150.00 and decided to try it.  It is extremely easy to use and extremely accurate.  I also find it easy to program and save my favorite locations.For the price it can't be beat.

The Megllan Maestro 4000 is a great system. This is the first GPS I have bought. It is very accurate. Depending on choosing "shortest distance" or "least amount of time" it does change the directions alittle bit and can take you around in a circle to get to the same place. But over all it is great in saving time and my flustration. I Love it!!

This is the perfect "first" GPS. It's intuitive in use, there's nothing difficult about it. The screen is big enough to see easily but still portable. The colors are very bold. I took off a star because it has steered me wrong once or twice. But that is out of thousands of locations so I don't mind.  I'd definitely recommend it!

The Magellan Maestro 4000 is an excellent GPS system.  It has become my husband's new mistress and made family trips a lot more pleasant.  The system is easy to use.  Gives directions in enough time safely maneuver, and the voice is not really annoying.  It is also priced reasonably.  A good product at a good price.

The Magellan - Maestro 4000 GPS Navigation System is one of the best products that I have used.  I have traveled a ton across the entire United States and the end result if that this unit has saved me time and money in the long run.  I would recommend it to anyone who asked.
