FIREPROOF Review Summary

"Fireproof was an amazing experience for the heart." Kirk Cameron stars as a firefighter involved in a failing marriage whose father presents him with a challenge to save his marriage in this film with a definite Christian message, written by the same writer behind Flywheel and Facing the Giants. Reviewers mention their whole families were stunned after seeing Fireproof, and feel this is a "relatable storyline" for anyone in a relationship," as "it sets wonderful standards for relationships between children and parent, friends and lovers." Christians in particular can't say enough good things about Fireproof. A few reviewers note the firefighter's addiction to internet porn in this story to be somewhat troubling, and feel a better show of faith would be to "volunteer at a burn clinic."

I rarely go to the theater.  In fact, it has to be a REALLY good looking movie to drag me to want to spend anything to go see it these days.  I used to see movies all of the time, but grew bored of the same old thing- watching DVDs is usually just as good if I am interested when they come out.

I first saw the movie FLYWHEEL on TV a few years ago.  At the beginning of the movie, it looked really hokey so I thought I would change the channel.....in a minute.    That minute turned into 10 minutes and I ended up completely glued to the screen laughing, crying and enjoying this movie extremely. ...

FIREPROOF

This is a must see movie from my perspective. It has action, drama, romance, humor and a relatable story line. If you are in a relationship, any kind or type, this can be a story of major interest to you. It appeals to both men and women as the action and male relationships in this movie are strong, truthful and hilarious. The issues the women go through is easily related to. If open-minded both sides can learn a great deal about the other side of the relationship and this can be an entertaining source to journey through that part of our lives. All that being said, this movie...

In my opinion, the movie Fireproof was amazing. It is a religious movie, made by the same person who wrote the movies, Remember The Titans, and Flywheel. So, if you have seen either of those and enjoyed them, you are sure to love this one. It is about a young married couple who's marriage is pretty much already doomed and headed for sure divorce. The husband is a firefighter, who has no problem rushing into burning buildings to save strangers with out hesitation, but when it comes to saving his own marriage, it is just too much effort. He is saving up money to one day buy himself a big boat, and...

Fireproof was fantastic.

I am a Christian and have led a Christian movie night at our church for about a year. In the process I have found how few good choices there are available to us that are actually faith based and not just stamped suitable because it lacks cursing and nudity, or it's about doing a good thing. Without the glory being given to God and the display of a faith based life, to me it's not worth backing it and telling other Christians that it's worth the time. One of the very few acceptions were the productions by Sherwood Films - Flywheel, Facing the Giants, and now Fireproof....

My husband and I went to see Fireproof  for one reason only...my parents forced us.  We were going through a rough time and my mom insisted that that would help.  I was very hesitant and thought that since it was a Christian movie all we would hear was Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. I grew up in a religious family and my husband did not so I course I feared the worst. Fireproof surprised me though because I thought it would pick on my husband and it ended up picking on me instead. It helped me see how much our lives mirrored those of the characters and even though this movie did not have professional...

Wow, great movie. This was definitely a heart felt movie. Everything was awesome. It was a high quality movie, great acting, funny, true to life and definitely a tear jerker!

This is a great movie on marriage and one that probably we can all relate. Those who are married can appreciate the struggles that we've gone through being married. I am a Christian and this movie has a clear gospel message and offers biblical principals to saving your marriage. The conversation between dad and son regarding God and God's standards is very powerful. God considers lust to be adultery, hatred to be murder and...

What a awesome movie speechless. I connect it so much with the characters. It was like I was watching my own life flashing by. What a messages to me and my husband we went to see it in our 19th anniversary i was crying numerous time thought out the movie. It definitely gave a bust to our marriage this time around I am so glad that I went to see. Would recommend it to everyone not just married couples. The theme of the movie for me is how to communicate to others and love them do for them what you would like for yourselves and the will reciprocate. Can you imagine what this world would be like if...

I went into the theater knowing that this movie had a marriage message, however, I was expecting based on the movie poster and the title, that there would be more of the literal firefighting scenarios.  However, the movie was so captivating that I didn't miss them at all.  It really voices many of the things that men and women in relationships often think, but never say, and follows through with resolving those issues.  I left the theater, reminded just how thankful I should be for my husband, and I know many men have recommited to loving and cherishing their wives.  Thanks to the church that... read full review »

Fireproof movie:  Well where do you begin.  Its so refreshing to be entertained without all the crap that goes into todays movies.  No nudity wow, no cussing, wow, no killing, wow.  The acting has it's slow moments, but it also has great moments.  I just don't understand how anyone could disagree with where this movie is trying to put the storyline first and without the usual distractions.  It has a great basis, keeps you entertained and I loved it.  I laughed I cried and I applauded.  I would recommend this just on the basis of supporting a movie that is trying to put the values back in...

Fireproof is a must see for every married person, or anyone desiring to be. Starring Kirk Cameron brings the star power to the screen that a Christian movie deserves to drive home the message of fidelity and "until death do us part" in a deeply moving and well-acted manner. You are captivated by the advice given to the husband by his father and the difficulty he has following it. BUT, he does follow it and it works! Just like when we follow the word of God as outlined in the Bible--it does work. Is it easy? NOPE. BUT, it does work. Sometimes, the timing is not ours, but like the movie, persistance... read full review »

Fireproof is Such a clean and inspiring movie!!  I hope that many people see this movie and especially newly weds or newly engaged couples, I have been married for 16 years and found it to be G R E A T !  Took my 13 year old and she cried too....I usually dont watch chick flicks, but this is a must see and I am waiting for the dvd. I like all of Kirk Camerons movies and have much respect for him, to make movies in todays world without all the "garbage" is just amazing....I love the movie.

Fireproof turned out to be a really good movie, not just something that should be shown on a religious channel. The storyline and actors were great-it just goes to show a good movie doesn't have to contain nudity, violence or obscenities. The only thing I didn't like, and I understand they had a small budget, but all the scenes were shot in only three different locations. My husband and I both enjoyed it, so I think this is great for couples to watch together.
