If you can answer “yes” to that question, then you might like the Discover Platinum Cash Back Credit Card, a premium credit card that pays back, in cash, a portion of all purchases. Reviews of Discover Platinum Credit Card agree that this card is “Great for Cash Back up to 1% on All Purchases”, but they also warn that Discover Platinum Credit Card’s cash back offer needs to be examined closely because it is a little misleading. Discover Platinum Cash Back Credit Card also has a higher interest rate than most Mastercard or Visa credit cards, and the higher interest can easily negate any advantage from the cash back. I use my discover card for purchases. Has a cash back on those purchases. Please know that when credit cards offer you "up to 1% cashback", this does not mean 1% cashback. In calling Discovercard, you have to spend different levels before the 1% can kick in. The Discover Platinum Cash Bank rewards credit card is a great overall card that I have been using since 1997 and I have recommend many people to get it as well - great payback especially when you use it for a double your rewards (i.e.: turn your $20 into a $40 reward), they also have other levels to turn your $20 into $25 etc. Overall the rewards are better then most cards and if you don't need a reward (gift certificate) for yourself or a gift you can always get cash back (check). It has been good to earn money just by using my Discover Card. I earned my first 20.00 within three months. When I first got the card they were giving me 5% back on gas purchases. Gas was quite expensive and I had to go anyway. It was good to know I was getting some of that back. I would recommend this card to anyone who is looking to save money. All purchases are good for 1% and each quarter has a few things that are for 5%. I am well on my way to earning my second 20.00 now. The Discover Platinum Credit card is a crock.

I had the Discover Platinum card a couple years ago. I had the 0% interest for as long as I used the card at least 1 x a month. I was diligent about making a purchase at the same store and continuing this interest rate for about 3 years. But when the Discover company didn't receive the electronic transaction I was penalized and charged an outrageous interest rate. I had my receipt stating that I had made the purchase. But this heartless company didn't care. I guess I could have fought it legally but I didn't want the headache. I pulled the remainder of the balance out of my savings,... read full review »

We love using this card. . There is a good variety of reward partners. We also feel good that we are making our money "work for us"! We haved used several other credit cards and seem to go back to using discover! Accepted in many places. We also like the variety of purchases that are included in the 5% cash back promotions. The mall in our town is also partnering with discover until the end of 2008. For every $200 you spend at the mall you turn your receipts in and you receive a pre paid twenty dollar discover card. Another nice promotion!

This card is good if you pay off your balance each month. I make a good amount of cash back each year just by using my card. This is free money. The only thing negative I would say about this card is that they keep reducing the benefits. And just know that it is UP TO 1% back on all qualifying purchases. I am sure there is some fine print somewhere stating the rules for the cash back...but I sure don't know where it is. I am looking into some other credit cards that might have better cash back rewards.

the APR on this Discover card can be anywhere from 16.99% and UP!! it's ridiculous!! there are a lot of better cards for you to choose from..do not get this one! one other pro for this card would be that you can pay online for free, and view your monthly statements...but i'd rather wait to get my paper statement than pay this interest rate any longer!

If you sometimes make a late payment, and not just on Discover, but on any reporting card - you can bet Discover will raise your interest rate - without notification. Discover will nickel and dime you to death only they aren't nickels and dimes - they are 20's and 50's - beware - I'd pay them off and drop the card if you can.

I have had my Discover card for several years and couldn't be more thrilled. I have paid off my credit card debt and this is the only card I continue to use. I love their website-very user friendly and helpful, their customer service is pleasant (and stateside!), and their rewards program can't be beat!

I use the discover card for everything I can. That includes my rent, utilities, cable, phone and groceries. I count on the cash back every month when I make out my budget! I don't use any other card. And I always pay it off every moth, so i lose no money at all!!

I have the discover Drivers rewards card and have racked up many rewards on it. However I do not like that they have lowered the rewards that you are able to earn each mo.
