Most HelpfulThe Discover Card is one I will never be without. I am quite thrifty and I love knowing I'm getting a good deal on something. My Discover pays me back in full - 1% back on ALL purchases, but also, 4 times a year they have additional categories that will return 5%. This month I am getting 5% back...

I got my Discover card when I was solicited to transfer a balance to them at 2.9% interest. We had accrued a credit card balance due to unusual circumstances, so I jumped at the chance to pay off that balance at such a low rate.

Every time I have a question or an issue, this company has been really extraordinary to work with. I always get kind employees on the phone, people with a sense of humor, who actually want to help me. Once I made a large payment by phone after having just missed a payment due to a business trip and absent-mindedness. I...
I've had a Discover Card for about 7 years now. You might think this would mean I'm really happy with them and that they've been good to me. Truthfully, I just don't have the time or energy to switch my credit cards around all that often, and I've stuck with Discover (over, for example, MBNA/Bank of America) due to their balance transfer offers and their cash back program.
Discover's cash back program is multi-faceted. You get a basic 1% back on all purchases. This accrues on your statement. Once you reach $20 accrued, you can redeem. You can request a check, apply the cash to your Discover...
read full review »Buying my condo back in 1986 and taking care of necessary repairs, furnishings, and other expenses, really "strapped" me for a while. This is not uncommon for people buying their first homes. I never regretted becoming an owner but in those days I couldn't afford to "clear the decks" with my credit cards every month as I should have. The interest began to pile up and it wasn't long before I was faced with a huge burden of debt to be shouldered along every month. Believe me, I'm sympathetic to those people who are having credit card problems. I know all about the calls from Collection...

One of the main pros of using this card is the cashback dollars you accrue. If this is your primary credit card (as it is mine) you will find cash available each month. You have several choices as to how you want to use that cash. I like to credit it towards my balance. You earn cashback on every purchase but several times a year they run promotions...
read full review »I have had Discover for over 10 years. It was my first credit card. I always pay my bill on time each month fully. I charge everything I can from gas, groceries, to ultities. You earn cash back and I then turn that into to gifts for others in the form of gift cards. Saves me bundles on Birthday and Chritmas. So they are paying me to use their card! Can do a lot over the internet which is great!
Have had them check with me when i was moving because was buying a lot. Made me feel good they noticed a difference in my buying.
Downside is all the junk mail they send and those checks. ...
