Dairy Queen - Chicago, IL Reviews

I know Dairy Queen is a bit of a throw back, but I gotta tell you, if you have not had a DQ Blizzard recently, the time has come to get reacquainted.  You can get cookies, candy bars, nuts etc mixed in.  It is a cross between a shake and soft serve. 

If you like ice cream, make some room, make some time and treat yourself to a DQ Blizzard.

To the Point

My husband, hannasdad,  would rather have soft serve ice cream than Ben & Jerry’s. That means lots of Dairy Queen. However this time going to Dairy Queen was my choice. He had gotten ice cream elsewhere but I wanted a Blizzard.

A Closer View

 I have my favorites at Dairy Queen such as the dipped soft serve ice cream. The ice cream is dipped into a soft coating (My favorite is chocolate although some locations have cherry which is good as well.) which hardens immediately. The only problem with this item is the ice cream melts and usually I am left holding the chocolate coating...

I'm sure everyone has been to Dairy Queen, it's a staple icecream/softserve chain found in almost every city. 

We went to Dairy Queen today and it's been over a year since the last time I've been there.  Man that stuff NEVER gets old...lol.  I felt like a kid again.  I waited patiently in line while reading the menu trying to decide what I wanted to order.  So many YUMMY choices.  I usually always get the Peanut Buster Parfait but today I wanted to do something different so I got a Snickers Blizzard.  Two thumbs up for me!

It very nice theyre back.... the bucktown location is nice.  It is a great place to eat if you are just passing by while shopping the great bucktown shops or if you want to take a break from all that walking and you can go inside.  It is the first dairy queen that ive seen that is two floors.  They have an old style outside concession stand.  they arent just for icecream, like their advertising says, hot eats and cold treats! 

when it comes down to soft serve ice cream...... DQ can't be beat!  No matter where you are on the map..... head into a DQ -- Large Vanilla Cone - Dipped in a chocolate shell...... ahhh savor the moment .....
