Chase - Freedom Card Review Summary

Credit cards come a dime a dozen and there are credit cards with various incentive offers. Reward cards are growing in popularity and one of the highest rated according to reviewers is the Chase Freedom Card, a reward credit card that pays you back. Chase Freedom Card rewards its customers with up to three percent back on purchases and this is the main reason why reviewers of the Chase Freedom Card recommend its use. There is also no limit to the value of the annual rewards you can earn, and this also helps to set the Chase Freedom Card apart from other reward credit cards. It “Gives You Rewards Every Month No Matter Where You Spend Your Money” raves one customer, and other reviews agree that rewards can accumulate quickly with the Chase Freedom Card, making it one of the best Credit Cards you can get.

I am very happy with this card. You earn 3% cash back on your top 3 categories of spending each month and 1% cash back on everything else. I still think that the American Express Blue Cash is better, but I use this at places where Am Ex is not accepted. Also, it's better than Am Ex for your top 3 categories... read full review »

YOU PAY FOR THE MONEY BACK WITH HIGHER INTEREST RATES--IF YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE tASER O% interest-DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE BECAUSE THE INTERST ON THAT WILL ACCUMLATE TILL THE 0% IS PAID OFF. WORST OF ALL THEY CHARGE YOU $14,95 TO PAY YOUR BILL OVER THE PHONE AND THE INTERST ON THAT STAYS ON THIS TILL YOUR 0% is paid off

I did tons of research before getting a new credit card and this is the one I chose based on its great rewards program. It gives you 3% cash back on 15 (predetermined) categories and 1% cash back on everything else. I do wish that airline travel and event tickets where a part of the 15 categories, but I had to compromise. You still get 1% cash back from those. It also has a little higher interest rate than what I would have liked, but again, compromise. It was listed as one of the best rewards cards. And after you reach $200 in cash back rewards, they give you an extra $50! I just got this card... read full review »

The Chase Freddom is the best credit card out there. You get 3% back for the category you spend the most in, 2% for online purchases and 1% for everything else. It's not some cheap up to 1% cash back card like some of them out there. You do not have to use your rewards to take a trip or redeem a gift card at a store you don't normally shop at. You get cold, hard cash. When you reach $200 in rewards, you get a check for $250! If lovin Chase Freedom is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.

I love how this card rewards you for where you spend your money the most in any given month. Our spending changes from month to month, so this card is fantastic for us. Plus, if you save your rewards up until you reach $200, you can redeem for $250!

It used to be that there were 5% rewards cards out there, but one by one they limited the amount you could earn annually (usually $300).  Then, the 5% itself began to disappear.  It's rare now to get rewards over 1%, and even rarer to get unlimited rewards.

There are a couple cards out there which offer 1% for the first $1500, then an inflated amount thereafter, but by their definition of what is eligible for the high reward level, SuperWalmart, SuperTarget, Kroger--indeed any national grocier--is ineligible.  So by the time you spend enough to get up to the higher level, and take into consideration...

Right now our economy is in trouble because the government failed to place regulatory legislation in place for mortgage companies.  My prediction is that the next failure will be that of credit card companies for the very same reason.  I exclude, Discover card and focus on Bank of America and Chase for my discussion.  These companies reel you in with promises of low interest rates (much like the sub prime/adjustable mortgages) and then sock it to you with a hugh increase in your interest rates with little or no explanation.  I wonder how many people who needed money to pay expenses once their... read full review »

The Chase Freedom credit card is one of my two favorite credit cards.  I wait until I have $200 in rewards, then "buy" a check for $250.  We have done this twice so far.  We were using this card mainly for gas, groceries and fast food because they were getting the 3% rewards; but now that those rewards are flexible, we'll change how we use our two cards a little.

The best way to use a credit card is to pay the whole balance each month and earn rewards.  I especially like cash and higher value gift cards.  These rewards are truly free to us because we don't pay an annual fee or any finance...

I've had the Chase Freedom Card for almost a year.  The rewards are great- they give you a bonus that can be redeemed for cash right off the bat for signing up.  They also give you an extra $50 bonus if you save your rewards until you get $200.  I used to have  American Express Blue which advertises "Up to 5% Cash back", but that wouldn't be true even in the most ideal circumstances.  (you have to have spent over $10,000 already that year on the card, and you have to spend only in certain categories, but not from certain stores, and those stores merchant profiles have to reflect to proper...

This credit card is excellent for people who want to earn cash back.  I don't know what the interest rate is because we always pay our bill in full every month.  There is no annual fee.  We get 3% back on certain items and 1% back on everything else.  For every $200 in rewards that we earn, we get another $50 (if we wait until we have $200 before redeeming).  We can access our account and pay bills online.  It's very convenient.

I said there is fraud protection... I don't know if that is a feature they advertise or not, but we have never had trouble getting charges removed from our...

I have a couple of credit cards with rewards but I definitely prefer Chase's Freedom Card. You get at least $50 just for signing up (I got $100 because they were doing a promotion), which I think is one of the best sign up offers. 3% cashback on your top three spending categories and 1% on everything else. The only thing is that the categories included for 3% is kind of limited. I wish they included restaurants and movies. Even still, this is still a pretty good deal, and everytime you earned $200 in rewards, you get an extra $50 (but you have to wait until you get $200 to cash out).

I have a Chase Freedom Credit card and it's great. I've had it for a year and a half years. It has the option of getting points or cash back rebates and I have mine set to cash. I get 3% back on groceries, eating out, and gas stations and 1% on EVERYTHING else. Once you get $50 in rebates, you can request a check. Or if you save up $200 in rebates, you can get a $250 check! I have already earned almost $400 in rebates in the past year and a half. I love having a credit card that pays me instead of the other way around!

We switch to this credit card after having trouble with the customer service on our Citicard.  Unfortunately Chase hasn't been any better.  They sent me the wrong type of card the first time around and it took 3 phone calls to get the right one.  Now they messed up my husbands bill payment because they computer system was behind and they are fighting him on removing the late charges and finance charges.  Unfortunately we can't switch again because of the effect on our credit.
