I'd never laid fingers to a MAC before my husband purchased two for us last month. I've been a loyal Gateway customer until the last one started crapping out a year before the 3 year extended warranty was up, and they gave me problems about fixing it. I said "no more!" and started looking at the iMAC. I love it! Easy to learn, easy to use, so many options, and I can still use Microsoft Office on it, which is important to me, because I do work that requires Word.
What's not to love? It takes up so much less space, the graphics are awesome (I am an amateur photographer), many features I've yet...
read full review »If you have never had a Mac, this is the one to get. It is so easy to set up and so easy to use. There is no A - B drives you just turn it on and go. I have never used anything but Mac and this is the absolute dream of all the Mac's I have ever had. All in one, no separate monitors, the striking appearance and ultra sleek design is amazing to have sitting on your desk. It is so fast and virtually never gets a virus. If you have any problems the tech support is great. I have only had to leave a Mac with a service center once in the 20 years I have had them. The tech support has always gotten...
read full review »I love the iMac. It's fully loaded with everything you need. With the right software you can use windows on it. It work very fast and smooth and has a great interface. Comes with great storage options. It sleek and attractive and takes up little space. Best of all it resist pop ups and viruses.
The iMac is a desktop Macintosh computer designed and built by Apple Inc. It has been a large part of Apple's consumer desktop offerings since its introduction in 1998, and has evolved through three distinct forms. In its original form, the G3, the iMac was gum drop or egg shaped with a CRT monitor, mainly enclosed by colored, translucent plastic. The second major revision, the G4, moved to a design of a hemispherical base containing all the main components and an LCD monitor on a freely-moving arm attached to the top of the base. The iMac G5 and the Intel iMac placed all the components immediately...
read full review »I've wanted a MAC since I first learned on an Apple in the early 90's. They have always been the most user friendly computers available. Finally bought my IMAC earlier this year and have been completely satisfied in every way. The slim design with no CPU tower to store is great, since my computer room is quite small. The screen is big and vibrant. The slimline keyboard looks good and works well. My biggest problem is learning all the things I can do with it. I use a Dell with Windows at work and it's a glitch ridden piece of junk, but I know it's ins and outs. I've probably only scratched the surface...
read full review »I have to admit, I know the Microsoft programs inside and out. I was quite hesitant to give up my PC, but when my husband showed me the new iMac all in one, I was hooked! What a space saver - that was my reason for switching. I use my computer for scrapbooking, internet shopping, e-mail, and spreadsheets. My office is also my scrapbooking room, so the more space available to me, the better.
At first, I could not get used to certain features on the iMac, but within a week or so of casual use, I've come to absolutely LOVE it! It runs flawlessly and I haven't had any issues with it. As...
read full review »I am a first time mac user and I love it. I had to get use to a few new and different things after being a PC user but it's pretty easy to catch onto. The tech support is great. They can answer any questions you have and online help is available 24/7. The iMac is super fast with all the cool features like iPhoto, iMovie, Garage Band, and iCal. Plus...you don't have to worry about the virus's like you do with PC's. It is also very simple to set up. You plug in the mouse and keyboard to the back of the screen, plug it into an outlet, turn it on and you are ready to go. I would absolutely...
read full review »First off I use the IMAC 20" all in one all the time. The software is excellent and I think Vista used the Leopard operating system when they launched it. Only the Apple's operating system does not crash and it functions with all the software.
I use Apple I MAC 20" for everything. I do have an Dell 15" laptop which I also use.
The apple is faster, reliable and I can count on it when I boot it up.
I highly recommend trying the Apple IMAC at a Best Buy or an Apple Store near you.
Bought one of these last year and looking for another one. User friendly, nice screen, takes up little space. Built in camera and applications just makes this computer awesome. No need to buy anti-virus software. If you like to deal with videos or pictures, this is the computer to have, the king of media. Cons-not really upgradeable like I could upgrade my PC, so once it is out of date, time to buy a new one (good excuse to upgrade though), not cheap.
